Sample Garment V-Neck Tee 714, Marked NotchesThis top was made by utilizing both sides of the same fabric.  I found that the reverse side was just as interesting and this was a great pattern to use because of the neck band/ center panel.  I also changed the back pattern piece to accentuate the waist.

I started the new design line on the back at the corner of the neck/shoulder seam, curved it slightly inward at the waist, and then curved it outward to follow the contour of the hips.

Before I cut the pieces apart, I marked notches to use as a reference to sew the pieces together later (shown on right).

InStudio Sample Garment, V-Neck Tee #714 Added Seam Allowance

After I cut the pattern apart I added a 5/8 seam allowance to the two pieces (shown on left).

The rest of the pattern was constructed as directed.
