These are the first of many garment photos made using cj patterns and fabrics. Check in often as I am making more garments using the Fall/Holiday 2003 CLOTHESLINE fabrics and fabrics that are still available from past collections. Many of these photos are of the new patterns that are being printed right now and will be available in a few weeks. Any changes I made to the pattern or tips on working with the fabric will be included.

As you can see the dressform I used has a Victorian body, I chose this because I wanted the clothes to stand on their own without showing a particular body type. In the future I will also have photos on "real" people so keep checking! I encourage you to send in your photos and tips and you will receive the pattern of your choice as a thank you!

Feel free to e mail me with ideas, comments and questions. Signed Christine

The ruching is _ inch wider than the pattern.

Fitted Jacket Pattern #905, Cuff Pant Pattern #945 and Boatneck Shell Pattern #311

Notes: This knit does not have enough stretch to make a “band” waistband so I used a matching stretchier knit for the waistband.

Notes: I used the pattern one size smaller than usual because this fabric is very drapey and loosely woven. I shortened the sleeve and used the fun selvedge for the sleeve hem.

Notes: I used the pattern one size up and added 5” to the length and patch pockets. I also made a front and back neck facing pattern to use when I want to flip back the lapel.
