From the front the look is clean and straight. Turn sideways to see the dramatic drape of the fabric. Suitable for many fabrics, this jacket is wonderful on a variety of shapes, heights and sizes. Learn the simple way to attach a collar and facings. Avoid wearing with full skirts and wide leg pants (unless they are cropped!)
Suggested Fabrics: Fabrics with drape and texture are wonderful. Lightweight to midweight LYCRA blend fabrics with drape, Cotton/LYCRA knits, lightweight Ponte, ITY, Rayon/LYCRA, Slinky, Linen, Lightweight Woven, Wool Jersey, Silk Velvet and Rayon blends.
This shirt/jacket is best paired with the # 330 Pencil Skirt or # 621 Straight Leg Pant
Suggested design options: Best as is! Widen the sleeve from elbow to wrist when using a woven fabric or a knit that has little stretch.
Leave the top button off for a lapel look.

Swing Shirt 505 is easy to sew and easy to wear. This oversized (16 in. of ease at bust) long shirt (29 1/4 in./size S) has drop-shoulders, a simple collar, and a shaped side seam. Our tester plans to use her shirt as a jacket to wear over yoga clothes, but the shirt can be created in many different fabrics, from silk prints to polar fleece, instructions are clear and helpful. (Sized XS-XL for busts 32.5-48 in.)
