All of the Taper & Wide Leg Pant Patterns!
We just wanted to take a moment to explain all of the Taper and Wide Leg Pants options.
You may already have noticed the name show up multiple time in our store. We did our best to keep our pattern names simple and consistent between paper and download as well as Classic and Plus Sizes. However, this results in multiple products with similar names!
We will try to keep things as clear as possible but please be sure to double check that the pattern you buy is the format and size that you want!
Classic Sizes 4-22: DOWNLOADABLE
Pull-on elastic waist pants. The taper pants are unique in that it does not have a side seam. This allows it to curve in at the inseam to reduce bulk and give a great fit without being too baggy or tight. The simple elastic application and topstitch hem are a quick finish.
Multi-sized 4-22
Due to the overwhelming popularity of these pant patterns, and multiple requests from international customers, we have made these patterns available as downloads.
Each downloadable pattern includes both Print at Home and Copy Shop options.
Pull-on, elastic waist pants. The Wide Leg Pant is cut full through the thigh and knee, and continues full to the hem. It has a slight taper at the hem (you can cut straight down from knee to hem if you prefer.) You can crop these at any length you prefer.
Multi-sized 4-22
Pull-on elastic waist pants with no side seams.
The Taper Pant is cut narrow through the thigh and knee and then slightly tapered to the hem. Think of these as “loose fit leggings.”
The Wide-Leg Pant is cut full through the thigh and knee, and a slight taper at the hem (you can cut straight down from knee to hem if you prefer).

Classic Sizes 4-22: PAPER
The Classic size Taper & Wide Leg Pants pattern is also still available as a tissue paper printed pattern. Upside - already printed and contains both pant patterns in the envelope.

PlusCJP Sizes 22-42: DOWNLOADABLE
When creating the Plus Size Collection, we knew a similar version of these patterns would be a must have! The style of the Taper Pants and Wide Leg Pants easily makes them a classic wardrobe staple.
